Disc (or Saucer)

Many classic sightings from the 1940s and 1950s, especially during daylight hours, fall into this category.
Cigar
Cigar-shaped UFOs are elongated, tube-like craft with smooth or seamless surfaces. Often described as metallic and massive in size, these objects are typically seen cruising silently across the sky or hovering without visible propulsion. Their size varies, with some appearing small enough for a single occupant and others described as large, silent transports with no obvious markings or openings.
Diamond (or Angular Polygonal)
Diamond-shaped or polygonal craft are sharp-edged and multi-faceted, often reported in shades of black or metallic gray. Their rigid geometry sets them apart from more organic or rounded shapes. Chevron
Chevron UFOs are V-shaped or boomerang-like objects, often reported as flying in complete silence. Witnesses commonly describe multiple lights along the underside of the craft or at the tips. These formations sometimes fly in groups and are seen gliding slowly or hovering over rural areas, cities, or mountains.
Light Burst
Light Burst phenomena are characterized by extremely bright, fast-moving lights with no visible structure or body. These can appear as flashes, streaks, or beams—sometimes zipping across the sky in a split second. Frequently witnessed near thunderstorms, they may be confused with ball lightning or other atmospheric anomalies unless their behavior suggests control or intent.
Amorphous
These objects don’t conform to any traditional craft shape and appear as blobs, clouds, or fluid-like energy forms that change shape in flight. Often translucent or glowing, they can pulsate, ripple, or stretch, and are sometimes reported to respond to observers or environmental changes. Their nature blurs the line between technology and energy-based phenomena.
Undefined Class
This category includes sightings that don’t match established types — strange anomalies that exhibit erratic shapes, shifting structures, or behaviors so unconventional they defy classification. These may be hybrids, glitching visuals, or craft seen only briefly and without enough detail to identify. As research evolves, many of these may be reclassified or better understood.
